" I didn't chase my passion, but I become passionate about what I chased - Philip Wang " exactly one year before internship when lecturer adviser all suggest us to join production house as for me who is totally not interested in pre and post production had came to a junction of life to be honest I have no idea what to do with my intern but I am pretty sure I don't want to join production house I once feel so lost seeing all my seniors have their internship in production house those editing software that I really hate those things that make me stay up late and become like a zombie at that moment I realise my life is so fucked up few weeks back when I realise I have exactly one year left to find my passion in this industry I forced myself very hard I finally get my hand on those equipment that I really really hate I tried to love them I tried to find something different in them which can make me love them use them and have passion in it but what F-A-I-L-E-D I was real down and despair but Philip's speech in his alma mater UCSD gave me a different sight for my future his words gave me inspiration and strength I don't have to be like anyone else I don't have to compare myself with course-mates or seniors I don't have to force myself and directing some videos because anyone else did so we can never chase our passion it will never be I know exactly what I am doing I know what I want in my future I might not be as good as anyone out there I might really stupid in shooting editing directing but I hold my passion on what I love I walk toward the direction I want but not the direct others want me to I get the answer I want after around two weeks time from Philip's speech I repeat the video of Philip giving speech and it make me even more determined on my choice a man who I admire as in this industry a man who I call him a role model of my life a man who his 15 minutes length speech changed my view toward my future do what you love do what I love |
